My Dad Ernest Victor Willing ( Ernie ) was born in North London on 11th March 1925 but due to work he along with my mum and my elder brother and sister moved to Stevenage in the 1960βs where he worked for eastern electricity and later went on to work for Stevenage Borough Council fixing the street lights.
He was diagnosed with throat cancer towards the end of 1979 and he never once complained about all the pain he went through but unfortunately after his courageous battle he sadly lost his fight on the 16th September 1980 aged only 55 years.
My dad is missed so very, very much by his wife Ann who he was married to for 33 years and his four children, Vic, Jackie, Sandra and Mark also by his grandchildren and the family and friends who knew and loved him.
Dad I was only 10 years old when you passed away but I still remember it like yesterday and there isnβt a day that goes by that I donβt think about you, I miss you so very much and I wish you were still here with all of us.

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering; he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult; he closed your tired eyes,
He whispered to u "Peace be Thine" and gave u wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
we would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
you live on through our memories, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

Hi Dad sorry i haven't been on for a while.
I can't believe that 31 years ago today you passed away the years have flown by but it's a shame we couldn't of had you for all them years. I have probably said this before but i would love to have you back even if it was for just one day but saying that i wouldn't want you to leave again. There is not a day that goes by that you are not in my thoughts dad and i love you with all my heart. Well dad i hope they are looking after you and i hope you have had a good angel day. Morning dad I can't believe that it is 30 years ago today that you left us. I laid in bed last night reliving the whole moment again. I wish that you could still be here with us but deep down I know you can't.
Well dad I am going to the cemetery soon with mum and Jackie to put some flowers on your grave and next week when Vic gets back from his holiday we are hopefully going to get some edging and stones to go in front of your headstone.
I am going now as I have got to get ready but I love you for ever and ever and I will chat to you again soon.
